Collavate Now Connects Directly to AI
You can now connect Collavate to AI tools such as Gemini Enterprise and Claude. Once connected, you can find documents waiting for your approval and check their contents right from Gemini Enterprise or Claude.
No more opening Collavate and searching for documents one by one. Just ask the AI you already use: “Summarize the documents I need to approve this week.” Collavate MCP is currently in beta, available first to companies that sign up.
What Is MCP?
MCP is a common way of connecting that lets AI safely use information stored in other software. Just as USB-C replaced the many different phone chargers with a single one, MCP replaces the separate AI connections that each piece of software used to need with one shared method.
Leading AI tools such as Gemini Enterprise and Claude all use this method, so once Collavate is connected, it works in both. No development work is needed on your side. Simply call up Collavate from the AI you already use.
What Can You Do with It?
Ask Gemini Enterprise or Claude as if you were talking to a colleague, and the AI will find documents in Collavate, read them, and help you review them. For example, you can ask:
- “Show me the documents I need to approve.”
- “Summarize the key points and the amount in this purchase request.”
- “Find out what comments were made when a similar contract was approved last time.”
- “List what I should check when reviewing this document.”
Pair it with an AI you can talk to by voice, and you can review documents even while on the move. Document reviews that once required sitting at a computer can now happen anytime, anywhere.
AI Assists, People Decide
Even when AI reads a document, summarizes it, and points out what to check, it is a person who decides whether to approve it or send it back. This approach, where AI helps with the work but people always take part in important judgments, is called “Human in the Loop.”
Collavate MCP follows this principle. AI makes reviews faster and more thorough, while the final decision and the responsibility for it stay with people. This lets your company use AI in its work while keeping a clear record of who decided what.
Security follows the same principle. AI acts only through the Collavate account of the person who connected it, so it handles only the documents that person is already allowed to see, and it cannot see documents belonging to any other company.
Why Decision History?
Most important decisions in a company go through an approval process. Collavate calls the record of who submitted which document, and who approved or returned it with what comments, the Decision History. It is the history of the decisions your company has made.
From the start, Collavate has focused on keeping this record accurate. The more AI is used at work, the more it matters whether the information AI relies on can be trusted. Documents that people have reviewed and approved themselves are the most reliable information a company has.
This creates a positive cycle. AI draws on past decisions to help with reviews, and every decision people make is added to the record. As the record grows, AI better understands your company’s circumstances and workflows, and can help with reviews even more effectively.
Join the Beta Today
Collavate MCP is now in beta for companies that sign up. If you use Gemini Enterprise or Claude, be among the first to review documents and make decisions together with AI.
How to apply: Fill out the beta application form with your company name, your company email domain (the part after @, e.g., company.com), and the AI you use (Gemini Enterprise or Claude). Once setup is complete, we will send you instructions for connecting.
Approval is no longer just a step that leaves a record behind. The decisions people make build up as records in Collavate, and those records, combined with AI, help make the next decision faster and more accurate.
