Connect to Collavate directly from your Google Drive

We are happy to announce that you can access Collavate directly from your Google Drive!


Last week, Google has face-lifted with new Google Apps Marketplace. This update includes UI upgrades with Material Design applied, and improved usability to the Administrators and Users.  



With the renewal of marketplace, there was an update in Collavate that improved the user experience too. This allows users to go to Collavate application directly from Google Drive UI.






Here’s how to use the newly added feature of Collavate:

Connect to Collavate from Google Drive


  1. Go to your Google Drive at drive.google.com. Click a New button and go to More > Connect more apps to visit the Drive Store.
  2. Enter ‘Collavate’ in search keyword. Click on a Connect button to add the app to your drive.

    * Note: When Collavate is installed from Google Apps Marketplace by a Google Apps Administrator, you can see that Collavate is connected to Google Drive in the Google Drive Setting screen.



  1. You can run the Collavate application from any type of documents or files – including Google Docs, Google Sheets, MS Office format, and even video clips or image files.

    In Google Drive, select a document or a file, right click it, and go to     ‘Open with’ and select ‘Collavate’.


  2. Or select Collavate from ‘Connected apps’ from the preview screen.



  3. You will be directed to the Collavate’s editing screen. You can attach TAGs, and start Workflow Process for approvals at the editing screen of Collavate.




Other Ways to Use Collavate



1. Using Gmail App Launcher



This can be also used after a Google Apps administrator installs Collavate from Google Apps Marketplace.

2. Using Chrome App Launcher
You can save Collavate in Chrome App Launcher and connect with a single click.









3. Using Collavate Add-On on Google Docs and Google Sheets
If you install Collavate Add-On for Google Docs and Google Sheets, you can submit your documents for approval directly from Google Docs or Sheets
