Use Collavate Template

A Collavate template is where you can store the default approver or contents of a frequently used document. Template enables faster document creation and approval process.

Template types #

There are three main types of Collaborate templates:

  • My Templates: Templates that every user can create and use for personal use.
  • Domain Shared Templates: Templates created by Collavate administrators which are used for public uses in your domain.
  • Public Templates: Sample templates that Collavate provides. 
Note: On Google Drive, my templates(personal template) are saved in the COLLAVATE User Template folder. Domain Shared Templates are saved in the COLLAVATE Template folder. 
* Owner access for both folders will be transferred to Collavate Document Manager.

Use My Templates/Domain Shared Templates #

You can simply make a process document for approval by simply clicking on created My templates or Domain Shared Templates.

1. Click Template.
2. Click My Templates or Domain Shared Templates.
3. Click template to use.
4. On the template menu, click Use Template.
5. After editing the contents or reviewer(s), click Start Process or Save as Draft.

Note: 

  • Original template document will not be changed if someone uses the template.
  • You can edit or delete templates by checking on the boxes next to each template.
  • Administrators can only create, copy and delete Domain Shared Template. 

Use Public Template #

1. Click Template.
2. Click Public Templates.
3. Click template to use.
4. On the template menu, click Make a Copy.

5. Save a copy to My Templates or Domain Shared Templates.

Note: Saving to Domain Shared Templates is only available with an Collavate administrator.
